The Cadimage Cabinet can use custom knobs created from standard ArchiCAD elements.

To create a custom knob:

1. Draw the knob in plan view using slabs, columns, walls, etc.
2. Ensure the pens and materials are set as you want them to appear in the finished knob.
3. The knob should oriented as if you are viewing it in elevation. This means it will be standing on its connecting surface when viewed in 3D.
   
4. From ArchiCAD’s File menu, choose Libraries and Objects > Save Custom Component.
   
5. Choose the Custom Knob type.
   
6. Enter a name for the knob, and save it into the embedded library.
   

Having saved the knob, now you can include it as part of a Cadimage Cabinet.

1. Open the cabinet’s Settings dialog, and choose the Handle type to be a Custom Knob.
   
2. Adjust the position, dimensions and orientation under Doors & Drawers > Handles and Doors & Drawers > Place Handles.
   
3. The handle will now appear on the cabinet’s doors or drawers.
