From the Developers – Keynotes Interim Released

We’ve just released a new interim of Keynotes.
Keynotes can now import and export Tab Separated Text files. This means you can use what ever database or spreadsheet application you want (as long as it can save out Tab Separated Text files, which is most of them).
Inside Keynotes you can assign what information should be taken from which column, and can either add all of the notes to a single category or use one of the columns as the category. If your system cannot create Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) then Keynotes can create these for you as you import them (just make sure you export them back out, so the identifier can be used to uniquely identify it if you do any more updates).
Check out the updated help section for how to use the new import and export.
We have also added the ability to create a new category within ArchiCAD whilst you are editing a keynote.

Will this work with Numbers (the Mac equivalent of Excel)?

It should work with Numbers (I assume Numbers can export to Tab Separated Text), we have not checked this but we have checked a test file we created manually on the Mac, and it imported fine.

Hi Glen
glad you added this in as it was awkward to not be able to add in that extra category without ‘going around the houses’ (not sure if that is just a UK saying)
